Born and raised in Texas, Kristie thought there was only one way she would ever leave the state...and that didn't include a move to Africa! Ha! Kristie grew up in The Woodlands area and then traveled to Aggieland to go to college. She is a part of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '90 and loved her time at A&M....and loves being an Aggie! It was during her time at A&M, and through her involvement in the Baptist Student Ministry (formerly the BSU), that God began to put the plight of impoverished children on her heart. After 21 years in public school education, as a teacher and administrator, she made the life changing decision to move across the pond to Kitwe, Zambia.
Kristie is a Jesus loving, bling wearing, paper crafting, cat and kid loving educator that can't wait to get across the pond to begin this next exciting chapter started in her life!
